French President, Emmanuel Macron, was on a State visit in the People’s Republic of China from 8 – 10 January 2018 where he met his chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.
The Pact was explicitly mentioned in the common Declaration of the two Presidents (Point 8): “France and China intend to continue their constructive dialogue on the development of a Global Pact for the Environment“.
