What is the Global Pact?

Since 2018, the Global Pact for the Environment project is under discussion at the United Nations. This draft international text aims to enshrine a new generation of fundamental rights: environmental rights, and specifically the right to a healthy environment. But some States are reluctant. This is why civil society must come together to demand that States recognize our environmental rights. To this end, we are launching a great coalition bringing together NGOs, activists, artists, citizens, jurists, and scientists: The Global Pact Coalition. Several public figures support us, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Trudie Styler and Sting, Jeffrey Sachs, David Suzuki and Ismaël Lô.
