Publication of Laurent Fabius’ book Rouge Carbone

The book Rouge Carbone by Laurent Fabius has just been published (September 2020). The former president of the COP 21, architect of the famous Paris Agreement, calls on States to act against climate change.

A chapter is devoted to the preliminary draft of the Global Pact for the Environment, presented in 2017 at the UN General Assembly: “The project may seem ambitious: it is. Its adoption, given national inertia, may seem delicate: it is. But it would be extremely useful both to adapt ourselves to the new world and to adapt the new world“. The preliminary draft of the Global Pact written by a group of a hundred scholars from a wide range of countries appears in the appendix of the book.

The book is available in French at the Editions de l’Observatoire.
